Vintage Farrah's Original Harrogate Toffee Tin
Farrah's toffee began in 1840 as a recipe created by R.H. Swan to counteract the taste of Harrogate's sulphur wafers. It became incredibly popular with consumers including Queen Elizabeth II who was known to eat the popular toffees. The sweets were sold in various packets and tinned offerings. This particular pocket sized tin is both attractive and useful. The slim box is beautifully decorated with raised typography in silver and navy blue and a pretty pattern along the box edges. A great little display piece or useful for storing business cards or keeping matches dry on a camping trip!
